Defensive Dining – San Antonio – Gluten-Free Pizza – Pam’s Patio Kitchen

Pam’s Patio has been making pizza for some time now. The owner, David, (Pam’s husband) has begun making his own pizza crusts using Bob’s Red Mill flour mix. They are not only gluten free but also casein free.

David has his own way of putting the pizza crust mix together. He makes the crusts first thing on Tuesday mornings after the kitchen has been closed for two days. They then go into the freezer.

Pam’s have devised a system that keeps their pizzas gluten free from start to finish. All of their toppings are gluten free, so you can order any of their fresh toppings and enjoy your pizza at lunch or dinner. There is no extra charge for the gluten-free pizza.

Pam’s Patio is a member of GFRAP and all of their staff is well versed on gluten-free issues. They offer quite a range of gluten-free items and usually have Redbridge beer in the cooler. (AB July 2009)
