The Peach Tree Inn has been in business since 1972, and the setting is a charming original German limestone residence. They are known for their tea room and sumptuous lunches. Although everything is made fresh here, most menu items, including desserts, are off limits to us. Owner Cynthia Pedregon has written three cookbooks and received rave reviews from Gourmet and other national magazines and newspapers. The gift shop is not to be missed!
I talked to Debbie Tiemann, who helped me find a few things to choose from on the menu. The safest items appear to be:
